Micro-Grant For NYC-Based BIPOC, Trans, and Disabled Artists & Creatives
In acknowledgment of the COVID-19 crisis and the prolonged shut-down of live theater and other events, the Ma-Yi Theater Company NYC BIPOC Micro-Grant was established to help those who have struggled through the pandemic. This includes all types of artists, arts workers, and creatives – designers, actors, directors, playwrights, poets, musicians, choreographers, dancers, painters, sculptors, video artists, etc.).
The micro-grant fund was established through the generosity of our friends at Play-Per View, who raised funds through a reading of Carla Ching’s Revenge Porn, directed by Bernardo Cubría. These micro-grants would not be possible without the generous individuals who purchased tickets to this event and made special donations to the fund.
